Jackaroo Hits All the Right Notes with Country Music Legend

As a member of the Australian Country Music Hall of Fame and long-time songwriter to Slim Dusty, Ernie Constance is no stranger to identifying quality music and lyrics. Now this iconic singer and songwriter is also proving an astute judge of quality Angus Cattle.

With the life of celebrity melding into his passion for a life on the land, Ernie and his wife Debbie along with family spend most of their time on their farm in the Monaro region where Ernie was born, focusing on their livestock including a cattle herd which they take pride in.

Ernie contacted Jackaroo and we quickly discovered that the traits he valued in a good bull - docility, calving ease and pedigree lined up nicely with the Jackaroo Angus Stud program. Ern and family came to visit the property and identified 2 strong Baldridge 38 Special sons who were a standout of the recent U Year crop of bulls as ‘can’t-miss’ prospects, with their strong EBV numbers and appealing type. He told us he’d take them both.

We delivered the bulls to this icon of Australian country music today and we look forward to seeing the ‘Baldridge Boys’ thrive and represent the Jackaroo Angus Stud name in their new herd.
